The Jury chooses the proposal Espai Barça Nikken Sekkei team + Joan Pascual i Ramon Ausió Architects for the New Camp Nou
FC Barcelona announced that the Espai Barça Jury unanimously chose the team 's proposal Nikken Sekkei + Joan Ramon Pascual i Arquitectes Ausió as winner of the architectural competition for the new Camp Nou. The jury of five members of the Club, three members of the College of Architects of Catalonia (COAC) and a member of Barcelona City Council has taken the decision after a review process of the proposals submitted by a technical committee according to the criteria established in the bidding specifications and requirements of the contest. The meeting which has taken the decision was held this afternoon in the Press Room Ricard Maxenchs the Nou Camp.
The Nikken Sekkei proposal team + Pascual i Ausió known for being open, elegant, serene, timeless, Mediterrania and democratic. Breaks down and treated with wit high altitude and breadth fruit of the necessary expansion of the facility.
Also it stands out for its relationship with the environment, giving depth, creating shadows and making the partners are the protagonists of the facade and part of the free space at all times. The proposal presents a subtle and very studied intervention in the environment to facilitate the movement and get diversity of urban uses on Campus club, and ensures a clear and safe construction.
In short, it is a unique solution, as unique is its genesis, playing so characteristic view of the grandstand and grandstand canopy, from the inside out, a silent and powerful tribute to Francesc Mitjans Stadium 1957.

Moscow: Otkritie Arena will never pay for itself
As of today, Otkritie Arena is not out of the red, the stadium runs on a loss. General director Andrey Fedun confirms that the building will never pay for its construction cost of RUB 14.5 billion (roughly $395m back in 2014).
Now the Daily Mail suggests that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is aiming higher than anyone else, pricing the stadium’s name at £25 million ($36.5m) per year!Levy reportedly put the same price on the club’s new shirt deal and he got it. Tottenham already have a shirt deal in place with Nike for £25m a year, due to begin in mid-2017. But can the club hope for similar success with naming rights?
